This "Granulari" series is an homage to and also my own spin on one of the Italian designer Carlo Scarpa's groundbreaking designs from the early 1940's. If you were to feel these in person, you would feel a bumpy, "granululoso" (granular) texture that comes from the opaque lines of very 'stiff' glass contrasting in viscosity with the surrounding 'softer' glass.
